    This listing is for a hard to find VHS Tape of Introduction: Surface Techniques In Fimo And Other Polymer Clays With Tory Hughes from the Mastering The New Clay: A Live Workshop Series.  This product was produced by Gameplan/ ArtRanch.
    Hughes, who died in 2018, was a master of what she called “imitative techniques,” using polymer clay to duplicate lighter, less expensive versions of semi-precious stones.
    This tape introduces a rich sampling of the surface techniques possible on jewelry and objects made with polymer clay. You’ll learn texturing, embossing, applique, pre-baked inlay, photocopy transfer and the use of paint. You’ll also learn combine these to personalize your work. You’ll finish this class with two completed pieces, as well as a workbook of design samples for your ongoing work in polymer clay. Enclosed is a list of materials and tools to be reviewed on the tape, a copyright-free photo transfer and an optional drawn outline for the first project. Released in 1995. Running time, 77 minutes.
