Quality results require quality tools
wolfcraft dowel pins are a strong and versatile wood joining element. Fluted dowel pins are ideal for furniture building and repairs, cabinetry, shelving and other special woodworking projects.
Use for Edge-to-Edge, Edge-to-Surface (T-Butt) and Edge-to-Corner joints.
Fluted sides allow for even glue distribution, while allowing any trapped air or glue to exit the hole. Chamfered ends makes inserting the dowel pin into the hole fast and accurate.
Made from 100% kiln-dried beechwood
Approximately 1-1/8" long
Straight flutes for even glue distribution
Chamfered ends for easy insertion
36 dowel pins per bag
Professional Dowel Joints
Step 1: Drill
Drill holes to the appropriate depth on both parts. Consider using a brad point drill bit for clean, smooth holes. Use a depth stop to ensure you don't drill too deep.
Step 2: Glue
Use a good glue intended for wood bonding. Add a moderate amount of glue to the holes on both parts.
Step 3: Insert Dowel Pin
Insert the dowel pin into the first part. Tap it gently into place - approximately halfway on the dowel pin.
Step 4: Join
Align the holes of the second part with the protruding dowel pins. Carefully join the parts together. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the second part into place if you cannot do this by hand.
